Signs Express Convention 2025
It was a pleasure to exhibit at the Signs Express Convention 2025, held at De Vere Wokefield Estate in Reading. This event provided an excellent platform for networking and building relationships within the industry. It allowed us to connect with new individuals and engage with fellow industry leaders If you weren't able to attend, you missed out on our exciting competition: "How quickly can you fit a lightbox graphic?" With our stopwatch in hand, we timed numerous attempts at fitting a graphic into one of our lightboxes. Various approaches and methods were used, but there could be only one winner. Congratulations to Signs Express Birmingham for successfully fitting the lightbox graphic in just 58 seconds, outpacing their closest competitors by 4 seconds. They will take home the lightbox as their prize. Thank you to everyone who participated in the challenge! Our exhibition graphics were printed on our Agfa Avinci CX3200 using Blacklit fabric giving our exhibition such a vibrant and colourful display. The lightboxes are avaible to order from our new online store, in various sizes.

New Fabric Machines
Come rain or shine, nothing can stop another super-wide installation as we introduce our new dye-sublimation machine, The EFI FabriVu 340i+. The rain in Bacup didn’t let up all day, which made for interesting transportation from the lorry to its installation site. The EFI™ VUTEk® FabriVU® 340i+ enables us to hit tight turnaround times. It has an outdoor print mode of up to 480m2 per hour, a production mode that reaches up to 248 m2 per hour, and a top-quality backlit print mode that prints up to 166 m2 per hour. We are so impressed with the ink recovery system that means that up to 95% of ink lost during purging can be saved. Almost no ink goes down the drain. On the subject of ink, the printer's medium-viscosity inks contain higher concentrations of dye and less water per litre, making them easier to dry. Ink usage is up to 30% less than that of competitive units. Recently, we also made an exciting addition to our dye-sublimation department in September. After acquiring an Agfa Avinci CX3200machine, we were so impressed with its performance that we decided to invest in another one! Agfa’s dedicated dye-sublimation roll-to-roll printer allows us to produce vibrant, high-quality prints on polyester-based fabrics up to 3.2 meters wide. This capability supports a wide range of applications, including indoor and outdoor soft signage as well as interior decoration. The Avinci printer is highly reliable and user-friendly, capable of printing directly onto fabrics or onto transfer paper. It also features an offline calender unit to ensure perfect fixation of prints. Dye-sublimation printing has several advantages over other printing methods, including: ● High-quality images: Dye-sublimation printing produces images with exceptional colour vibrancy and clarity. ● Durability: The dye-sublimation process creates long-lasting, fade-resistant images that can withstand exposure to sunlight and other environmental factors. ● Versatility: Dye-sublimation printing can be used on a wide range of substrates, including textiles and banners. ● Eco-friendliness: Dye-sublimation printing is an eco-friendly method that produces minimal waste and is free from harmful chemicals.

The Printshow at the NEC Birmingham
We had a fantastic time exhibiting at the Printshow! Designing and producing our exhibition stand was quite challenging, but it was definitely worth it in the end. Everything on display was fully fabricated, printed, and finished in-house by our highly skilled and experienced team. We created a stand that was viewable from all angles since we were located in the center of the floor plan. Using blackback fabrics, backlit fabrics, bespoke lightboxes, frames, and acrylic boards, we showcased our ability to produce stunning displays, highlighting our expertise in creating exhibition stands. During the three days we spent there, it was great to meet new people, connect with various companies, and see the usual faces. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us! The Printshow at the NEC Birmingham The Print Show is now established as the most important and best-attended print industry event in the UK, and is still the only exhibition entirely dedicated to the UK print sector. The Print Show is the primary meeting point for the market, offering visitors the opportunity to see the latest technological developments, meet and network with peers, and access advice from some of the leading experts in print.
