Super-Wide Digital is celebrating 25 years in business today! What began as a small banner printing company in Middleton, Manchester, back in 2000 – when the digital print industry was still in its infancy – has grown into a nationwide trade supplier operating from our state-of-the-art facility in Bacup, Lancashire. Over the years, we’ve embraced every technological advancement, continually investing in the latest print and finishing equipment – including our most recent addition, the EFI Vutek X5R, the first of its kind in the UK. This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the vision of our founder, Anthony Drogan, whose passion for the industry, eternal optimism, and determination carried us through the toughest of times – from economic crashes to COVID. We’d also like to recognise the dedication of our longest-serving team members: Andy Huskinson and James Moynihan, who have been with us since day one; Vanessa Ryan, who has been part of the journey for over 20 years; and more than 10 more incredible colleagues with over a decade of loyalty, service and dedication to the work we do. Super-Wide Digital is celebrating 25 years in business today! We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our new machine at Super-Wide Digital – the cutting-edge EFI Vutek X5r printer! This high-volume, large-format UV inkjet printer is set to transform our production capabilities with its advanced technology and exceptional performance. The EFI Vutek X5r is renowned for delivering outstanding print quality, efficiency, and versatility. With its UV-curable inkjet technology, greyscale printheads, and a maximum resolution of 720 x 720 dpi, we can expect crisp, vibrant images with impeccable colour accuracy. Its impressive speed, capable of printing up to 3,200 square feet per hour, will enable us to handle quick turnarounds and long production runs effortlessly. Supporting media up to 5 metres wide, the X5r accommodates a wide range of substrates, including PVC banners, vinyls, and textiles. Its versatile ink system, featuring CMYK, light cyan, light magenta, white, and clear inks, allows for creative and dynamic designs. We are eagerly looking forward to seeing the EFI Vutek X5r up and running in the next couple of weeks. This addition will undoubtedly enhance our ability to deliver high-quality applications such as billboards, vehicle wraps, retail signage, and exhibition graphics with greater efficiency and precision. It is a high-volume, large-format UV inkjet printer designed for signage companies, advertising agencies, and large-scale graphics producers. It features advanced technology for exceptional print quality, efficiency, and versatility. The X5r can print up to 3,200 square feet per hour without compromising quality, making it ideal for quick-turnaround and long production runs.
